David Ruis, the Canadian worship leader, has brought out a new cd, called “When Justice Shines”. Track 3 is called “Spirit on Me”.

The words and music of this track are, I believe, a prophetic message for Ireland. As we are heading towards the end of 2007, it is vital that we pray, and keep on praying. Pray for our families, our children, our churches and our nation. We are in a significant time of change – that, of itself is not new. What is new is that the responses we need to make need to be new, having fresh anointing from God.

    Here are the words:

    Spirit on Me
    by David Ruis 2007

I can feel the winds in the western skies
    blowing on ancient ruins
I feel the rumblings beneath the earth
    Speaking of old things renewing

    Come take my hand
    Walk with me
    To the ancient paths
    Come take my hand

    Run with me
    And dance again
    We’ll be free

    The Spirit is on me.

Le Chéile means together. It is Ireland’s first Convergence Christian Community, and was formed in December 2001. We are led by Canon Tomás Kennedy, and part of the Diocese of Benissa (Spain). Our diocese is part of the worldwide Communion of Convergence Churches.

Convergence Churches are non-sectarian and non-denominational.

Convergence Churches include the three main streams of the Christian Church as part of worship: The sacramental, the evangelical and the charismatic. These streams come from the Catholic, Reformation and Pentecostal eras of the Church.

At our meetings you can experience the Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist, hear the Word preached and receive the ministry of the Holy Spirit. We include Irish prayers and music in our worship, reflecting our Celtic Christian heritage.

Come into the river with us! We would love to welcome you.

Contact: Canon Tomás Kennedy, community pastor.
Community Office Number: 076-6708037 (Local call rate in Ireland)

Le Chéile Music evening 1904 (Cork)

We have recently discovered evidence of a Le Chéile Music Evening in 1904 (Cork). We believe that Barry Gilbert’s grandmother is one of the girls in the photograph. The piper could be Tomás’ great uncle Dermot O’Sullivan. DNA samples will be collected this evening…

REMINDER!!! This evening is the Le Chéile/Barry Gilbert music evening to raise funds for Romanian orphans. We will start at 8pm, venue is Kennedy’s Rathfarnham.

    Let’s keep the tradition going!

Greetings from Cork. This is just a quick reminder that it is this coming Saturday, October 20th, that Le Chéile have a special evening of music and singing in aid of the orphanage in Romania. This is the initiative that Barry Gilbert and others are involved in.

I can now confirm that Bishop Josep and his wife to be, Patrice, will also be with us that evening.

If you need directions, call me on 087-2266714.
